Information
Applicants
for admission to the Law School, must have
received a baccalaureate degree from an
accredited university or college (Before
they begin their work in the law school).
An official, sealed transcript mailed from
each college or university attended must
be received by the law school.
Each
applicant must complete and submit an application
form along with a $50.00 non-refundable
application fee, United States Postal or
bank money order should be made payable
to Miles Law School, P. O. Box 39150, Birmingham,
Alabama 35208. (Cash or personal checks
are not accepted)
Students
are admitted summer and fall semesters only.
Miles Law School offers a four (4) year
course study, evening classes only. Courses
are three (3) academic hours each beginning
at 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Monday through
Thursday.
The
program is a four (4) year program. A total
of ninety (90) hours is required for graduation
and the award of the Juris Doctor (JD) Degree.
Applicants
who decline to attend after being admitted
must reapply if they wish to be considered
for admission in a subsequent year. Applicants
are advised that the law school continually
reassesses its admission polices and that
these policies are subject to change.
Applications and Procedures
The
deadline for submitting an application for
the summer semester is April 15th
and the fall semester is July
17th. We encourage
applicants to apply early as possible.
Applicants
who apply for admission must comply with
the following procedures:
- Complete
a current application.
- Pay
the non-refundable $50.00 application
fee in the form of a Bank or United States
Postal money order or a cashiers check,
payable to Miles Law School at P.O. Box
39150, Birmingham Alabama 35208. The
law school will not accept cash
or personal
checks.

All applicant are
required to take the LSAT
exam and have their
score submitted to the Law School..
- Submit
at least one, but no more than two,
letters of recommendation from people
familiar with the applicant's qualifications
for the study of law.
Notification of Decision
All
applicants will be notified in writing when
decisions are made. For the majority of
applicants notification, will be sent by
the end of August as to whether or not he/she
has been accepted.
Each
applicant who is admitted is required to
submit a non-refundable deposit of $100.00
within 45 days from the date of his/her
acceptance letter to reserve a place in
the class. At registration, the deposit
will be applied towards the student's tuition
and fees.
